Period Poverty Is Real

We visited the Maasai to have real conversations with the girls about the challenges they go through. Since we stated the project in 2020, we have gone back to our key centers to get feedback from the girls and the teachers, and this is what they had to say.

THE PROBLEMS:

  • Missing out on school affects their education. Each year they miss two and a half months of schooling, yet it’s just a natural occurrence for women.
  • Not finding something sustainable for their menstrual days result them having sex to get money. It leads to many teen pregnancies and early marriages.

THE SOLUTION:

Support us by getting more reusable sanitary towels, which have been of great help towards keeping the girl child in school. A pack goes for $10 dollars which includes panties and soap.

PRAYER REQUEST

DO NOT BE ANXIOUS ABOUT ANYTHING, BUT IN EVERY SITUATION, BY PRAYER AND PETITION, WITH THANKSGIVING, PRESENT YOUR REQUESTS TO GOD. ~Philippians 4:6

WE LIFT EACH OTHER UP IN PRAYER

Praying for others is a way to care for someone, no matter where they are in the world. When you pray for others, you offer them your time, thoughts, energy and piece of your heart. The power of prayer is undeniable as evidenced in blessings and physical and spiritual healing. When we pray together for one another, we strengthen one another.
